This unique tile, produced in Iznik in 1530, is a significant example of classical Ottoman tile art. Originally 20.5 cm high and 38.5 cm in diameter , it is currently on display at the Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon .
This version, reproduced faithfully to its original form and pattern, is applied to a 35 cm diameter wheel-drawn footed bowl . The surface is meticulously crafted with Babanakkaş motifs and traditional Rumi motifs , both from Ottoman nakkaşhane styles.
These historical patterns combine the elegance of the period with today's aesthetics, while each brushstroke reflects the perfect combination of art and craft.
